OK, this means....?

The emulator won't boot...the log show that message preceded by %XNV-W-NOREST, NVRAM could not be restored from C:\blah\alpha.nvr

This is the first time I have tried to run it....

To run FreeAXP, you need a machine with dual cores - a multi-cpu system, Ie. 2 cpus ( 2 x cores ) are needed. That is what the error message is describing 'not enough cores to satisfy claims'.
