I have tried several of the Virtual Box releases after 3.1.8, including 3.2.12.
Only Virtualbox 3.1.8 allows LAVC clustering to work. The later versions do not.
I currently have a cluster with FreeAXP on Windows 7 x64 and SimH on Ubuntu 10.10 running on a MacBook Pro.
I had to first install Windows 7 and Ubuntu with host additions using Virtual Box 3.2.12, and then after that was working, I had to downgrade to Virtual Box 3.1.8 to form a LAVC.
With out doing a LAVC, networking seems to work with the VirtualBox 3.2.12 release.
However as soon as the VMS cluster attempt to form, the network interfaces appear to stop passing most traffic. A bug has been filed with VirtualBox.
