Emulated disk cylinder count was created by FrigidSolutions
I have a real Alpha (OpenVMS 7.2-3) clustered with FreeAXP. I'm trying to BACKUP /PHYSICAL an RZ29B, attached to the real Alpha, to an RZ29B container file attached to FreeAXP. BTW, the source disk isn't OpenVMS (ODS-2, etc.), but Alphacore Linux.

The total blocks of the disks match, but the cylinder counts don't. BACKUP /PHYSICAL requires the block, cylinder, sector, and track counts to match between the source and destination disks.

Is there a way to set the cylinder count of the emulated disk container?

We do not currently support setting low level disk parameters from the configuration file. We will consider adding this as an advanced feature.

FreeAXP 453 adds Head, Cylinder, and Sector options to Advance Disk Properties. You will find the 453 kit in the kits section of the FreeAXP page: www.migrationspecialties.com/FreeAXP.html#Kits
