Installing FreeAXP on VirtualBox/Macbook Pro was created by robbier1958
I have installed Virtualbox 4.3.10 on a Macbook Pro, Core i7, with OS 10.9.2. I created a VM with Win7 Pro 32bit. When I attempt to install FreeAXP on the VM, I get an error saying "This application requires at least 2 CPU cores." Is this a compatibility problem between this version of Virtualbox and FreeAXP ? Or is there some setting I am missing? Thanks.

You created a VM with 1 CPU. Add the other CPUs to the VM. I found that I had to add all 4 CPUs. There is a thread on this forum of what I did.
I used 64 bit Win 7.
I used 64 bit Win 7.

When I go to the Virtualbox Settings for CPU, it is set at 1. The box to change the number of CPU's is grayed out, not selectable. I can increase/decrease VM memory on the other Tab, but not CPUs.

FreeAXP (and Avanti) require a minimum of two host CPUs. You will have to work out the VM CPU issue in order to use FreeAXP.

FYI, I figured out in Virtualbox, "Close-Save" machine state is not stopped or shutdown like I thought. While the VM is in SAVE, you cannot change the CPU quantity. The VM has to be shutdown, as in a Win7 shutdown or a VM power off to be able to change the processor quantity. After changing CPU to a quantity of 2, then FreeAXP installed successfully.
