how to solve FreeAXP Failure

on startup I get the message that only one instance of FreeAXP can run at a time

last line of the log file is
Connection lost on cp(control).alpha(alpha (AS400)).pcibus(dc21071da).serial0(i16550) from IP address 127.0.0.1 (wsa error 0)

question is: how does one find and kill the previous instance, or all instances?

Normally you would shut down Tru64 UNIX or VMS and then exit the FreeAXP emulator to shut it down. To kill the emulator process, look for freeaxp in the Task Manager process list and terminate it.
