Session hangs after shutdown was created by SYSMGR
Avanti 4.0.0.653 - FreeAXP version

If I start an emulator and shut it down after use, and I want to start another one, that runs putty on the same port (9000), this port is still in use, even when the putty window was closed of connection lost. Looking at my (Windows10Pro) system, there is still an AXP version running - on high load.
A process "crash handler" is left over as well: it look like one for each configuration.

(IIRC, I could enter "exit" on the >>> prompt to close the putty window, in an earlier version of FreeAXP, but today this is an invalid command).

Exit has always issued an "invalid command" message. It is a hack into the Alpha firmware. See section 8.11 in the User Guide.

The dec.exe should close once the exit command at the >>> firmware prompt is processed. If you are issuing an exit and dec.exe is not terminating, kill the process and send the FreeAXP log file to [email protected].

Have you tried the Auto-Exit the feature?
